Ribon is a monthly shoujo magazine published
in Japan by Shueisha. In fact, it is the magazine where Wataru Yoshizumi
has been publishing her works. Apart from Ribon, there are also the Ribon
Original and the Ribon Bikkuri, a kind of "little sisters" of
Ribon, where special stories and stories created by mangakas with little
experience are published. The Ribon has about 450 pages and costs 410 ¥ (unfortunately I have to pay a lot more -_-). There are about ten or more stories currently running, all of them from different mangakas. Some examples would be: Good Morning Call, by Yue Takasuka; Gals!, by Fujii Mihona; and Time Stranger Kyoko, by Arina Tanemura.
Each month, Ribon comes with furoku, which are little "gifts" from the different series being published there. The furoku can be from stickers and notepads to folders, cards and plastic bags. The funny thing is that the furoku they give you can't be found anywhere else (you won't find it in a shop, I mean).
